duckfooted to catch the waves

I kick against the weight

of Water,

disappearing for a moment, then

emerging, then

breathing deep and

disappearing again.

a small dream sneaks up and

i welcome the muffled sounds because

it’s quiet here,

like sunset over Water,

like colors on clouds.

the steady sea soothes me.

air moves freely here,

cool, clean, calling me.

mother of us all,

e  a  r  t  h

spells centuries in her effect of

Water on sand.

i would like to believe

i will evolve one day too,

from sand to stone.
