Back in 2009 I was a singer/songwriter living in LA and making strides in the LA scene. But after having two kids I had a creative identity crisis and completely halted my music career out of fear. I was constantly being told I couldn’t be both a mom and a successful musician. It has taken me 13 years to start prioritizing my own music again, but even now it’s a slow process. Recently, I’ve wondered if there are other parents in a similar boat to me – Creatives trying to balance the energy needed to create art of some kind, and the enormous amount of energy needed to raise young humans. That is where the idea for Creative Parenting Conversations came from!
I love to chat with other Creative parents about their journeys through parenting and creative expression. Their insights have been invaluable to me, and I thought I’d share with other parents who identify as Creatives as well!
